Half Days and Full Days 4hr Option: Join us for a 4hr trip down one of the local tailwater rivers. Targeting wild trout with a variety of techniques to help you become a better angler and put you on fish. Great for beginners and experienced anglers, a half day is perfect for keeping your schedule flexible! This helps accommodate you, whether you just want to get out for a little bit of fishing, a quick intro, or if you don't want to be in the elements all day! We want to fit your schedule while getting in on the best times to fish. 8hr Option: Full days run around 8 hrs. Your guide will lead you down miles of quality water by Drift boat, targeting Trout and/or Bass. The Fish and Game survey of the South Holston and Watauga rivers boast at least 4,000 fish per mile, and in some stretches its 3x that estimate! Tailwaters are fishable year round and offer endless methods to target these fish. So regardless if you're a beginner wanting to learn as much as you can or an experienced angler looking for that trophy we are here to help! Join us on an immersive experience into the Alaskan bush to one of the best steelhead and silver salmon fisheries on the globe! Kodiak island has world class steelhead. These fish live in some of the toughest conditions and they way they fight shows it. We are excited to be partnered with the Kodiak Brown Bear Center, they have built a 5 Star lodge on Karluk Lake. Situated on an island you can soak up the surrounding area from the deck of your cabin, and enjoy a 5 star meal. Along the river are strategically placed cabins, a little more rustic than the lodge but offer great creature comforts for fall in Kodiak. After getting situated we begin our journey down the river. Home to steelhead, CoHo salmon and Dolly Varden trout. There are plenty of ways to target these incredible fish. The average dolly is around 20" and you can just about catch one whenever and however you want. Skate a mouse on top, swing smolt and intruder flys, catch silvers on poppers, or fish egg patterns. This is a 6 day trip. Guest are received at the Kodiak Airport and transported via float plane to the lodge. There are limited launch dates with up to 6 guest per launch. Trips run from mid September into beginning of October.

For the small stream junkie this is a great place to get lost. Great wild water for rainbows and browns and if you know where to look, beautiful native Brookies. There are also areas that hold very nice smallmouth bass. Going after wild trout is a challenging yet rewarding experience, often times you are in tight spaces having to delivery accurate presentations. While our native brookies may not be the biggest they do rank up there as one of the prettiest fish species. Showing people these places and how to catch these fish is something we love doing!
