Private trip guided by Casey

Sea Señorita Charters 10+ years of experience

About

The day starts with a quick boat ride out in Capt. Casey’s 32’ Seavee center console. His boat slip is conveniently located close to some of his favorite fishing spots. Casey has been fishing the Keys for 7 years, so he’s super in-tune with the local fishery and fish behaviors. He’s a laid back dude and holds great conversation. Casey is great with first-timers and welcomes you to bring your family along for the trip.

His boat is equipped with outriggers and has a livewell to keep your bait fresh. There’s also an icebox to keep your catch fresh until you return to the dock. He’ll clean all your fish at the end of the trip…just make sure you tip him well.

In the summer, the best option is trolling offshore in search of Mahi Mahi, Blackfin Tuna, Wahoo, and the occasional shot at Blue Marlin. In the wintertime, you spend most of your day on the edge of the reef, live bait fishing with either kites or slow trolling. This time of year, your main target is Sailfish, big Blackfin Tuna, King Mackerel, Wahoo, Yellowtail Snapper, and Grouper.

Target species include: Blue Marlin, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Black Grouper, Sailfish, Yellowtail Snapper, Jack, and Cobia. Methods include bottom fishing, deep sea fishing, trolling, spinning, and kite fishing using both light and heavy tackle depending on conditions and time of year.

Captain Casey takes care of all the fishing gear needed for the trip. This includes rods, reels, tackle, live bait, and lures. He’ll also provide licenses and clean your catch, so there’s nothing you should bring except for food and drinks.

Start times are estimated and subject to change based on weather, tides, and other variables.

Captain Casey has been obsessed with fishing his entire life. He started fishing professionally in high school as a mate on a 6-pack charter boat out of Niantic, Connecticut for Striped Bass and Bluefish and did the occasional trip 100 miles offshore to the continental shelf. He went on to college at Massachusetts Maritime Academy where he received a Bachelor of Science in marine safety and environmental protection. Are you seeing a pattern here? (He’s obsessed with being on the water). While he was attending college, Captain Casey got his U.S.C.G. 100 ton captain's license with a towing endorsement. Shortly after graduating college, he packed his belongings and headed south for the Florida Keys. He’s been a guide in the Keys since 2015, and doesn’t have any career changes in sight. He’s humble, extremely likable, and supportive of anglers of all ability levels. You’re guaranteed to have a great time fishing with Casey.
