Enjoyed my trip with Capt. Eric. Was a little windy with a few bumps but the Maverick handles the chop just fine and Capt knew where to find decent water to get there. Was just looking to find some snook or anything to tug on the line. Capt Eric knew right where the fish were and had me on them the entire trip. I struggled getting the small pilchards into the feeding zones but when in the right spot it was nearly an automatic strike. Lots of Mangos in the way but had plenty of shots at Goliath Grouper and Snook. Capt. Eric was super friendly and very patient. Would recommend him to anyone looking for fun "catching" in the Park.

We had a great day fishing with Captain Eric Rodriguez. Even though the water was cloudy following a tropical storm, Eric put us onto fish and gave us the right tips to catch them. I had never fished the Keys, but can now add tarpon, snook, grouper, lemon shark, and very tasty snapper! He seemed to know every inch of the water, and was knowledgeable about the local wildlife as well. Best fishing day ever!!! Thank you Eric!

Eric is fantastic! My father and I went out fly fishing with Eric for 3/4 of a day and he helped us find plenty of tarpon we could take shots at. While my father and I are experienced fly fishermen, we were new to going for tarpon and Eric was very patient with us. We both relied on muscle memory as opposed to instruction on our first strikes and he did not get short with us like other guides we dealt with on our trip. I cannot recommend Eric enough and we will definitely be back. Thanks again, Eric!

Eric is super knowledgeable and set me up with good shots all day. His boat is clean, and his gear is top knotch. Went out fly fishing with him and was humbled trying to make quick casts in the wind under pressure. If you're coming from trout country and want to try saltwater fly fishing, maybe bring a spin rod just in case.

Eric was an awesome guide. Very knowledgeable of the water and and wildlife in the area. Even with the wind conditions he put us in front of tons of fish and ran into a school of 200+ black drum moving out of a flat. I will be using him every trip to the Keys.

We had the most incredible day backcountry fishing you Captain Eric Rodriguez. He is a gentle soul with immense knowledge of the backcountry ecosystem. He was the perfect captain and tour guide. We did a half day afternoon tour and caught so many fish, it was incredible. Captain Rodriguez patiently guided my 14-year-old son and encouraged him along all the while helping him tie knots, hook the bait and take photo ops of the fish he caught. It was one of the most memorable mother-son experiences we have had, thanks to Captain Rodriguez. He also cleaned up the fish we caught so we could bring the filets to local restaurants in the Keys for cooking. He made great recommendations of the best places to go to cook the fish. All in all, we would highly recommend Captain Rodriguez to anyone looking for a magical experience doing backcountry fishing.

I have fished the Keys for 40 years and in a variety of tournaments. Fished the 2024 Swamp Guides Ball with Eric and I have to say that my wife I were very impressed. Very patient, very courteous, punctual but his knowledge of Florida Bay and fish activity was the best I have seen to date. Highly recommended.

Captain Eric was awesome to fish with. He was able to present us with many opportunities on multiple species, even in mediocre conditions. Not to mention he was great conversation along the way! On top of that his boat was perfect for zipping around the Everglades from spot to spot. Without a doubt I will be booking all future back country fishing trips with Captain Eric.
