Eric was good, very knowledgeable and we were able to spot fish in the flats

We had the most incredible day backcountry fishing you Captain Eric Rodriguez. He is a gentle soul with immense knowledge of the backcountry ecosystem. He was the perfect captain and tour guide. We did a half day afternoon tour and caught so many fish, it was incredible. Captain Rodriguez patiently guided my 14-year-old son and encouraged him along all the while helping him tie knots, hook the bait and take photo ops of the fish he caught. It was one of the most memorable mother-son experiences we have had, thanks to Captain Rodriguez. He also cleaned up the fish we caught so we could bring the filets to local restaurants in the Keys for cooking. He made great recommendations of the best places to go to cook the fish. All in all, we would highly recommend Captain Rodriguez to anyone looking for a magical experience doing backcountry fishing.

Eric was fantastic. He is knows the water and made the right adjustments to put us on fish. We had a great day. My son caught Goliath Grouper, Snook, Redfish and Snapper.

I have fished the Keys for 40 years and in a variety of tournaments. Fished the 2024 Swamp Guides Ball with Eric and I have to say that my wife I were very impressed. Very patient, very courteous, punctual but his knowledge of Florida Bay and fish activity was the best I have seen to date. Highly recommended.

Captain Eric was awesome to fish with. He was able to present us with many opportunities on multiple species, even in mediocre conditions. Not to mention he was great conversation along the way! On top of that his boat was perfect for zipping around the Everglades from spot to spot. Without a doubt I will be booking all future back country fishing trips with Captain Eric. Eric is an exceptional captain! We have taken charters with him for 7+ years and have always had stellar days! Eric knows the fishery extremely well and can always find fish! We had a great day out with Eric on Tuesday 10-31-23. Eric is a great captain and knows where the fish are! We started the morning netting our own bait fish and we were into fish all morning long, non stop action! Great fishing experience. Highly recommended. We will be back again soon.

My daughter an I had a great day with captain Eric. We caught a variety of fish from Goliath Gruper, Snook, Jack Crevale, Barracuda, which we released, and Red Snapper that Eric filleted for us. He was very knowledgeable of the Everglades and you know by talking with him how respectful he is of the environment. I would recommend him and I am definitely going to book another trip with him as soon as I can.

Eric was great on our 6 hour charter. We had another trip booked and our captain had to cancel less than a week before we arrived. We were introduced to Eric and he was very honest and open about the types of fishing and what our best chances were to catch fish. He has a long history and knowledge of the area he guides in and knows what the fish are doing. He has plenty of spots he can and will visit to maximize your time on the water. Easy to communicate with and very responsive to texts/calls, even when he's on the water.
