Every angler has to start somewhere! At Stellar Angler Guide Service, we're great with kids- and are passionate about exposing them to the sport and waters we love.
Here in Southeastern North Carolina, we're lucky to have access to not only a huge variety of waters to fish, but also species to target. Watching redfish or speckled trout coming up to hit a topwater plug on the surface will bring your excitement level through the roof. Then have the opportunity to pole flats sight casting redfish, speckled trout, and flounder. We can even get bluefish, jack crevalles and sharks come into some flats
My goal here is to make you and your children successful. Giving you the best possible shots to land a fish we can high-five about afterward. I'm not just here to take you fishing but to educate you on my backyard. To help and give tips on how to double haul with tighter loops or to help you optimize your cast and accuracy on light tackle rods. Then to talk about conservation and the steps needed to lead to take to have a flourishing estuary. Not only here in North Carolina but wherever you may live too. Come on out and learn something while catching fish!
Exact meeting location will be discussed after booking.

Captain Ethan, an Orvis Endorsed guide, grew up in Annapolis, Maryland around the Chesapeake Bay. As an avid waterman Ethan’s love for fishing didn’t truly start until his baseball career ended after college and he moved to Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina in 2014.
Once sports ended for Captain Ethan he needed something to focus his time and drive towards. Ethan caught his first redfish with a gentleman that did the build out for the family business, Fractured Prune Doughnuts, in Surf City, North Carolina. After Captain Ethan felt the pull of a Redfish, he knew he had found his newest sport.
Captain Ethan studied fishing like he was prepping to win a national championship game. With an athletic mentality he sharpened his craft by learning the tidal fluctuations, water temps, and staging areas depending on seasons of where fish will be.
After he had the fish dialed in on a spinning reel he looked for what was next. Captain Ethan picked up a Fly rod and knew that this was the sport he had could dive into. Captain Ethan started tying his own flies and went through stages of in-depth learning to figure out what the fish liked and did not like.
Many years of fishing from Wrightsville Beach to Swansboro later, Captain Ethan is ready to put his knowledge to the test and offer productive trips and to educate foreign anglers to how he plays his sport either on Light Tackle or Fly Fishing.
