About

I was born and raised in the country, just outside of Charlottesville, Virginia. At a very young age I developed a passion for the outdoors, particularly in the arts of fly fishing. In high school I achieved the rank of Eagle Scout; and accomplished this, in part, by creating an annual fly fishing camp for folks with various physical and mental disabilities. The camp is still being run over 17 years later. I’ve always been very driven, with a knack for problem solving. I graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Material Science and Engineering. An engineering job moved me South Carolina, where I had my first experience with tailing redfish. Shortly thereafter, I bought myself my first flats boat and left my engineering career to pursue my passion for fly fishing. I’ve worked as a professional guide and charter captain for past five years, running up to 220 charters a year. Over the past decade, I have worked hard, putting in countless hours to unlock some of the secrets the low country’s fisheries have to offer. I absolutely love what I do; and try to wake up each day with a relentless pursuit get better and learn more.

This was my first time saltwater fly fishing, and Caleb made it an incredible experience. He did an excellent job putting me on fish that I could actually catch, and his guidance made everything a lot easier to learn. Caleb is not only super knowledgeable but also hilarious. the time flew by. We even ended up fishing longer than the booked 4 hours, which just shows how dedicated he is to giving his clients the best possible trip. Highly recommend booking with him

Within 15 minutes of our charter starting we had our 1st redfish. The first of 10. Capt Caleb was great with my 13 year old son who caught 8 of the 10. Capt Caleb knows his craft and is a gentleman sportsman.

My trip with Captain Caleb was exceptional. I've been out with many fly fishing guides and Captain Caleb is certainly up there with the best of the best! He put me on the fish and provided me plenty of shots all day long. Even during the less favorable light and tide conditions, he provided me unique and diverse fly fishing opportunities. His knowledge, communication, and overall effort were outstanding and I am excited to book him again in the near future!
