About

Our Warm Water Fly Fishing trips focus on targeting primarily Largemouth Bass with a fly rod. We employ a number of tactics to catch these fish through the year; from streamers on sinking lines in the winter to hopper patterns in the summer. The best time to target trophy-sized Largemouth with a fly rod in our rivers is September through November. There are also opportunities to target the lesser-known game fish in our rivers such as the Bowfin and the Longnose Gar- both of these prehistoric fish provide an exciting fight on the fly rod and can reach impressive sizes.

We fish hundreds of miles of rivers and tributaries in Northeastern NC. We chose a section of river for each trip individually based on water & weather conditions as well as the desired client experience. Depending on the water we choose to fish we will use a 16' jet boat, 19' skiff, or a 13' raft.

Snacks, water, and local craft brews are included. All fly gear is provided. 2 anglers max. Lunch is provided on full day trips.

Rocky Mount, North Carolina6-9 years of experience

I am an Eastern North Carolina fishing guide specializing in fly and light tackle fishing on the region’s coastal river systems. I have spent my entire career in the fishing industry with the goal of sharing my passion for these incredible freshwater resources. The Tar and Roanoke Rivers provide us with hundreds of miles of scenic and productive fishing grounds for a variety of resident and migratory species. Winter and Spring runs of Striped Bass draw anglers from all over the world to experience one of the most prolific spawning migrations in the world. The American and Hickory Shad migrations on these rivers also provide a very unique angling experience for fly and light tackle anglers in the spring. Our resident warm-water fishery is an often overlooked resource that gives anglers an opportunity to target trophy Largemouth Bass and other warm-water species throughout the year.

I strive to provide my clients with a safe, fun, and educational experience on the water. I pride myself on not only helping my clients catch fish, but helping them understand why they are catching fish. I want all my clients to leave a trip with a more complete understanding of fishing.

Come experience wild & scenic fishing on North Carolina’s coastal river systems.
