About
Find solitude and fly fish for bass on private lakes within 2 hours of Dallas. Each booking insures you'll be the only one on the lake. These lakes are managed for bass fishing and can provide a fun day of fly fishing without leaving Texas. Sean operates an 18 foot boat, so you can fish in comfort and let him do the work. All skill levels are welcome, but a basic understanding of fly casting will help in having an awesome trip. All tackle is provided, but you're welcome to bring your own. Spin gear is available for anyone who needs it.
Locations vary and you'll need to meet Sean at the lake. If you're visiting Dallas, transportation can be arranged.
Trips are 4-5 hours in length and mornings are preferred.

Sean Polk grew up in Arlington, Texas and cut his teeth fishing for bass and panfish on the local lakes and rivers of north Texas. He’s been an avid fly fisherman for over 30 years and spent the last two decades working as an instructor and sales manager for various fly shops. His knowledge of the local water is vast and he’s been a featured speaker for various clubs throughout the state. He’s been featured on Lone Star Outdoors News and Field & Stream.
His work in the fly fishing industry has allowed him to travel extensively and fish for a variety of species across the Americas. Some of his favorite destinations have been The Palometa Club in Punta Allen, Mexico, Turneffe Flats Lodge in Belize and the jungles of Bolivia in pursuit of golden dorado.
Sean is also an accomplished fly tier and he often has his own flies on the boat for clients to use. He’s combined years of experience both fishing and fly tying to develop flies that are easy to cast and catch fish.
Sean lives in Dallas with his wife Shonda. He spends his time away from the water trying to perfect his barbecue and bird hunting.
