Punta Allen Fishing Club, MX | 6 Nights and 5 Days of Fishing (May 8-15, 2025)

Float and wade the pale blue waters of Punta Allen for five days on this exclusive fly fishing excursion! Anglers will set out after Mexico’s formidable Big Three — permit, bonefish, and tarpon — along with professional fly fishing guide Tyler Bowman on this private hosted trip.

This trip promises to hold unforgettable fishing and time on the water. Watching a permit inhale a shrimp on sargassum weeds — similar to a GT — is unbelievable. Tarpon dreams come true in Punta Allen, where the species is exceptionally bitey and can reach massive sizes in the beautiful Ascencion Bay. Bonefish abound across thousands of acres in crystal-clear blue water flats.

When you’re not on the water, you’ll be well taken care of at Punta Allen Fishing Club’s all-inclusive lodge. Traditional Mexican architecture meets modern comforts in the six-bedroom lodge, which sits just 100 yards from pristine beach. Join Tyler Bowman — Charleston, SC native and professional fly fishing guide — to experience all that this incredible fishery has to offer. Tyler has honed his craft in the Lowcountry and is thrilled to travel to Punta Allen with a select group of anglers.

The trip departs for Punta Allen on May 8th and returns on May 15th. This is an all-inclusive resort; airfare is not covered in this cost. All rods and tackle will be provided through Winston Rods and Bauer Fly Reels.

Trip itinerary:

Day 0 ( Night 1 )
We will be arriving in Tulum with a warm welcome from the taxi van that will transport us to the Panga meet-up by boat. For our US Customers wanting to arrive/depart the same day of flights, we ask that you try to schedule flights arriving no later than 3 pm.  This will ensure comfortable and smooth travel to and from the lodge. We will coordinate a spot to meet at the airport from 2 pm - 3 pm. When we get to the lodge we will get everyone situated, while the host gets the fly gear rigged up for the first day.

Days 1-5 ( Fishing Days)

We will be waking up bright and early on day 1 to start the week! For our first day, we will most likely be getting everyone warmed up to the process and schedule. Breakfast in the morning at the lodge, lunch will be served on the water in the boat, and dinner in the evening at the Lodge.

Day 6 & Night 7 (Optional)

Bid farewell to Punta Allen Fishing Club, and we will start our panga trek back into the mainland. Tyler will be taking the groups that want to go to the Mayan Ruins outside of Tulum and stay in Tulum that night. (The Other groups will be heading back to the Airport and departing no earlier than 2 pm.)
