Full days allow us to fish farther, hit more spots and increases the chance of a successful day. I like to leave around sunrise and be back to the dock around 4:00pm on a full day. Let me know what your ideal day looks like. All my trips are custom tailored to make your experience one-of-a-kind. Fishing the Everglades is filled with variety. In one spot you could be trolling, another spot drifting a shallow flat and still another, poling a mangrove shoreline. It all depends on what the fish are doing that day. The sought after species are Snook, Tarpon, Trout, and Redfish. There's plenty other species in the park but those 4 are the famous ones. If you catch all 4 species in a day that's known as a Grand Slam and it's a serious accomplishment. Rods, licenses, and tackle are provided. All you have to do is make it to Flamingo (45 min drive from Homestead, 90 mins from Key Largo). Captain Paul is a catch-and-release guide. He believes in conservation and responsible stewardship of the park's resources. He's a member of Captains For Clean Water, & Bonefish Tarpon Trust. He encourages everyone to get involved in the fight to save our wild places and protect the places he fishes. The captain works hard to make sure you have a good time and if you enjoy the trip, a 20% tip is customary. All you'll need for your trip are drinks, snacks, polarized glasses, light longsleeve clothing and sunscreen.

These trips leave the dock at sunrise and return around 11:00 a.m. Half-Days are popular but Captain Paul has discovered that most clients would prefer a full day experience. Getting to Flamingo can be a bit of a drive and with all the effort it takes to get there, it's nice to spend a full day taking in all the Everglades has to offer. For this reason, Captain Paul encourages his clients to book 8-hour trips for the best experience and most fishing time. However, if you are pressed for a time a Half-Day usually offers enough time to get on a good bite.
