About

My name is Paul Manoogian I was born in 1993 in Miami Florida the year after Hurricane Andrew. My Grandfather started fishing Biscayne Bay, Flamingo, and Marco Island for Snook back in the 50's and there are logs in his journals of me catching fish on the boat in 1997. So I've been fishing since I was 4 years old. In 2006 my dad passed away and left me with a deep passion for the outdoors. In 2014 my grandpa passed away and that's when I decided to buy his skiff instead of letting it get sold. After buying the boat I started fishing Flamingo and Biscayne Bay often. After a few trips a mentor from my church who's father was involved in the miami met tournaments and who grew up fishing in the keys mentioned that I was very good and that I should pursue getting my Captains License. I worked hard for 4 years averaging 150 days a year on the water with no clients just to get my hours and learn the fishery. In 2018 I got my Captains license and started Legacy charters fishing. I used the word legacy because I wanted to share the legacy of fishing passed down to me from my dad and grandpa. I've been guiding professionally since 2018 and hope to win some big tournaments some day but my real passion is conservation and spending time in nature. Trolling for snook was my grandpas specialty so I have a lot of background with that style of fishing. I also picked up fly fishing and currently am focused on fishing the No Motor Zones in Everglades National Park out of my canoe. These are some of the things I do that might be different than some other guides in the area.

Capt. Paul offers a unique fishing charter experience like no other. He grew up fishing Flamingo and around the Everglades and really knows the area. We wanted a back country experience fishing for Snook & Tarpon. He brings a canoe along with his fishing boat and we took it to a creek/canal that you carry the canoe over a dam. There was nobody there and it was quite an adventure. We caught Snook, hooked several Tarpon, saw sharks and crocs and overall a very fun day. Paul is one great guy and fisherman who provided us a great day. I look forward to fishing with Paul again. Thanks Paul.

Paul was great! Wonderful fishing experience! He took us all over the Everglades to a bunch of different spots to catch many different species of fish! He was extremely helpful. Fishing was slow at first, but he made sure to put in the effort and continually move us to different spots in order to get fish. He was also great at spotting the wildlife, teaching us about it, and trying to get us a great view on our half day fishing trip. Totally worth it and would highly recommend! We were staying in Florida for a couple days and he even gave us some great restaurant recommendations as well! :)
